Charges are pending against four juveniles who were arrested for damaging an aviation tower near the Flagstaff airport. Police Sgt. Cody Runge said the four were taken into custody after a stake-out by officers following a string of incidents between May and September of this year. He said the equipment that was damaged was very important to pilots.
"They can be really instrumental for them if they're having equipment damage or having foul weather to land the plane or if the pilot's lost in the area, he can use that to navigate his plane and find out where he's at," Runge said.
Names of the teens, who were turned over to their parents, have not been released.
