Fast And Furious Scandal Lawsuit Moves Forward

A federal judge ruled in favor of the House Oversight Committee against the Obama administration in a lawsuit for documents about the gunwalking scandal known as Operation Fast and Furious.

The documents lie at the heart of the question, exactly who at the senior level of the Justice Department knew about the gunwalking program?

Last summer, the House Oversight sued for documents that it claimed the Justice Department was withholding about the infamous Phoenix gun case. Federal agents had allowed criminals to buy guns and smuggle them into Mexico, in hopes of tracing those guns to crime scenes.

Instead, thousands of guns were lost and two turned up the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

The administration has tried to prevent those documents from being made public. In its motion to dismiss, it argued the court had no jurisdiction to rule in this case. The judge disagreed and now the suit moves forward.
