Group Pushes To Make Purchasing Guns In Private Sales More Difficult For Criminals

The group "Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America ," is pushing for laws that make it harder for criminals to buy firearms from law-abiding gun owners. During a rally in Phoenix this weekend, Arizona chapter leader Kara Pelletier called for stepped up laws to keep guns away from domestic violence abusers.

“In Arizona , we don’t have universal background checks,” Pelletier said. “Private sales and the gun show loophole allow violent abusers, known violent abusers, to continue to have access to firearms.”

Pelletier believes buying guns in the United States is too easy. She says it should be extremely difficult for criminals to buy guns from law-abiding gun owners.
