Scottsdale And Tempe Make The 2014 List Of Most Livable Cities

Is your town livable? If so, just how livable is it? According to Livability.com, only two Valley cities are among the top 100 best places to live, Tempe at number 43 and Scottsdale at 89.

Palo Alto tops the list, followed by Boulder, Berkeley and Durham, NC. The site looked at factors including affordability, education, infrastructure and amenities, but we wanted to know if there are other livable communities in the Valley.

We asked Paula Randolph. She is the president and CEO of Jomar Association Services which is a community management company. She has also worked for the Sonoran Institute and the developer DMB.

Randolph said the Livability.com list was interesting and that Tempe and Scottsdale deserved to make the list, but she said there are some up-and-coming livable Valley cities that could surpass those two.
