Arizona State University’s athletic program has an enormous project on its hands, the renovation of the 55-year-old Sun Devil Stadium. It is expected to cost up to $300 million, and as of now, ASU no longer has the man who was in charge of the plan and, ostensibly, raising money for it.
Steve Patterson, who had been ASU’s athletic director since March of 2012, has decided to move on to the University of Texas which happens to have the wealthiest athletic program in the country. Patterson is a UT graduate.
