Workers Suffer Electrical Burns

Two men are lucky to be alive after the 40-foot communications tower they were attempting to install, east of Yuma, touched a high voltage line. Alfonso Zavala, of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, says Jim Bush suffered electrical burns to his hand and lower leg,

“They were lucky that the antenna that they were moving was still touching the ground so it was grounded out with the ground so it did not go through his body,” Zavala said.

He says Bush suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering. He says the man working with Bush refused medical treatment.
