New Bill Would Give Credit Score To Nontraditional Borrowers

If you do not have a credit card or a mortgage payment, it is tough to get a bank's attention when you are asking for a loan. It is a Catch 22, how do you get credit if you do not have credit?

Congress is considering a bill called the Credit Access and Inclusion Act that would make it easier for nontraditional borrowers to show they are worthy of the risk. Supporters say it would give a credit score to millions of people who had previously been invisible to banks.
