Gas Prices Are Up This Week With Holiday Travel

If you had to buy gas for your holiday trip, you may have paid more than you would have last week. AAA Arizona said gas prices are up a couple cents in Arizona this week, to an average $3.15 a gallon.  Spokeswoman Michelle Donati said however, there are other ways to look at the cost of gas.

“Despite these increases, motorists are still going to pay the lowest price going into Thanksgiving and over the Thanksgiving holiday than they have in three years.”

Donatti said about 856,000 Arizonans will be taking holiday trips this year, with nine out of 10 of them traveling by car. Flagstaff has the highest prices in the state, at an average of $3.37, while Tucson has the lowest at $3.06.
