Shannon Guess Richardson, 35, of Texas has pleaded guilty to sending letters laced with biological toxin to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

A Texas woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to sending poison-laced letters to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Shannon Guess Richardson entered her plea in federal court in Texarkana, Texas, to a federal charge of possessing and producing a biological toxin.

Richardson was arrested in June after authorities said she tried to implicate her ex-husband during a divorce. Prosecutors allege Richardson mailed three letters from Texas and then told police her husband had done it.

The federal indictment quotes the letter as follows;

"What's in this letter is nothing compared to what ive got in store for you mr president."

Prosecutors say Richardson bought materials online to produce ricin, a toxin that can cause respiratory failure if inhaled.

The 35-year-old Richardson had minor roles in the television series "The Walking Dead" and the movie "The Blind Side."

Neither her attorney nor authorities will comment on a possible motive.
