Sky Harbor Airport officials are warning travelers and those who may be picking them up at the airport to check the status of flights going to, coming from or connecting on the East Coast. Deborah Ostreicher is a Sky Harbor spokeswoman.
“Even if they’re not coming from a destination you know is impacted, if they are connecting through that destination, there’s a chance that their flight may be impacted,” Ostreicher said.
She said the impact of weather delays was minimal on Thursday, because many travelers were aware of the need to check their flight status before coming to the airport.
