McCain Wants Congressional Review Of NSA

President Barack Obama plans to begin discussions soon on restricting National Security Agency surveillance.

Senator John McCain was asked on CNN’s ‘State of the Union,’ Sunday, what restrictions he’d like to see put on the NSA.

“Well, I would go for a thorough review by Congress, too, because we’re going to most likely have to pass legislation to implement or not implement the president’s recommendations,” McCain said.

He says there have been overreaches by the NSA. He says agencies like it sometimes do things just because they can. He believes Congress should form a select committee to investigate government spying because it overlaps several different standing committees.
