During the worst of the economic downturn, Arizona’s health care industry was one of the few areas that was growing and showing signs of strength, but the state, like many areas of the country, has a shortage of medical professionals. Plus, there are challenges related to the Affordable Care Act and Arizona’s Medicaid expansion. Steve Purves, CEO of the Maricopa Integrated Health System, added to the discussion.
