DHS Secretary Jeh C. Johnson will visit Arizona this week.

The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will visit the Southwest this week for a tour of border operations.

Jeh Johnson succeeded former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano as Homeland Security secretary after she retired to lead the University of California system. DHS said Secretary Johnson will travel to the McAllen, Texas area on Tuesday and visit the international bridge that leads to Reynosa, Mexico.

Wednesday, Johnson is set to visit Douglas and Tucson in Arizona, including a stop at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Joint Field Command Tucson Sector Headquarters.

His office said Johnson will take a tour of operations and be briefed on the U.S.-Mexico border, and he is set to meet with state and local law enforcement.
