A press conference denounced the ASU fraternity MLK day party, calling for students to be expelled and the TKE frat banned from campus.

African-American activists have taken their outrage over a fraternity party at Arizona State University to Attorney General Tom Horne.  People attending the "black party" at Tau-Kappa-Epsilon wore black face, used racial slurs and drank from hollowed-out watermelons during the party on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Reverend Jarrett Maupin said the demands he is making of ASU are things Dr. King himself would have embraced.

“The Kingian answer is get rid of the fraternity, expel the students, learn from this incident, embrace racial sensitivity training, learn about each other, promote communication and understanding," Maupin said.

ASU Senior Vice President James Rund said the behavior was inexcusable, and the fraternity’s future at the school is in doubt.
