Arizona Sen. John McCain has officially been censured by his own party. State GOP spokesman Tim Sifert says McCain was censured on a voice vote on Saturday.
“The folks that sponsored the resolutions are trying to persuade Sen. McCain to vote more conservatively on the issues, whether it’s immigration, or the debt ceiling or second amendment rights,” Sifert said.
He says while several counties have censured the former presidential candidate, this was the first time McCain has been censured at the state level.
