Documentary Airing Monday Aims To Provide Insight Into Arizona

A new documentary is set to air of PBS Monday night. “The State of Arizona” is an effort to provide insight into a border state, according to co-producer Catherine Tambini.

“We hope that people will learn from the lessons of Arizona,” Tambini said. “Arizona was in a unique position as a border state, with having such a large amount of undocumented people coming into the state.”

Former state Sen. Russell Pearce, Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema and Sheriff Joe Arpaio make appearances in the film. Co-producer Carlos Sandoval says the film is an attempt to be as objective as possible to allow the audience to come to its own conclusions about immigration reform.
