An Arizona high school student will join Michelle Obama in the first lady’s box during Tuesday night’s State of the Union address. The last time we saw Joey Hudy, he was wowing President Obama at the White House Science fair two years ago. The president asked the Anthem teenager to give an impromptu demonstration of his “extreme marshmallow air cannon,” which resulted in a memorable moment.
Now, Hudy is headed back to Washington. The White House announced on Monday he will sit in the first lady’s box with other honored guests. His mother said she is not sure why he has been invited back but believes he must have made an impression on the president.
Hudy also made an impression on the computer-chip maker Intel. The CEO offered him a job after meeting Hudy at an inventors fair last year, making Hudy the youngest intern at the company.
