Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested three more people for identity theft, in two separate investigations, one of them prompted by the complaint of a woman who was denied food stamps. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said she was told her income was too high.
“Someone was using her son’s name, so that complicated the situation and resulted in her not being able to receive (this) food stamps," Arpaio said.
A 34-year-old worker at a Chili’s Restaurant in Mesa and two employees of a shower door company in Phoenix were taken into custody.
