Roof At Chase Field Gets Major Cleaning

If you look toward downtown Phoenix on Monday morning, you might notice crews on the roof of Chase Field.

Stadium District Executive Director Darren Frank says cleaning the retractable roof of the stadium is a big job.

“It’s over five acres of coverage that needs to be power washed,” Frank said. “It’s estimated to take between four and five weeks.”

Frank says the original quote for the job was between $60,000-$80,000, and he says once the roof has been cleaned, it should be several years before another wash is needed.
