County Assessor Sending Property Valuation Notices Soon

Homeowners in Maricopa County will be getting an update on the value of their homes in the next few days.

The County Assessor’s Office says it’s beginning to send out valuation notices for tax year 2015.  They’ll go to about 1.6 million property owners in the state’s most populous county.

Like last year the value of single family properties was up by double-digits. The increases the last two years bring the median, full-cash value of a single-family residential property to about $160,000.

The valuation you’ll be getting reflects what your property was worth between Summer 2012 and Summer 2013.

The assessor’s office says all classes of property in the county showed value improvement for the first time in seven years.
