Gas prices inched up again last week in Arizona, which AAA says is normal for this time of year. Spokeswoman Valerie Vinyard says prices will likely continue to rise for the next couple weeks and blames refinery maintenance for part of it.
“Every refinery undergoes maintenance at least a couple times a year and so, that usually temporarily inflates prices also,” Vinyard said.
She says prices are up just over three cents in the last week to $3.28 a gallon. They remain well below the national average price of $3.38. In Arizona, Flagstaff continues to have the highest prices at $3.41, while Tucson drivers pay the least at $3.19 a gallon.
