Winter Storm Expected To Slowly Move Across State

A good-sized winter storm has Arizona in its sights. Robert Bohlin of the National Weather Service in Flagstaff says northern Arizona will see the first effects with an inch or two of rain and some higher elevation snow.

“There’s a cold front out ahead of it,” Bohlin said. “It’s going to come through Friday evening into Saturday morning, basically slowly move across the state.”

Bohlin says the snow level will start to drop as the colder air moves in, ultimately reaching about 6,000 feet by late Saturday.
