Representatives from the Arizona Republican Party, city of Phoenix and state tourism bureau will travel to Washington, D.C. on Monday. They will formally present a bid to host the Republican National Convention in 2016.
The presentation will focus on how Phoenix is equipped to host such a large event. In the next few months, the selection committee will announce which cities made it to the next round.
