Oklahoma Man Under Investigation For Allegedly Threatening Arpaio

An Oklahoma man has been arrested for allegedly threatening Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  The man is accused of mailing a suspicious package to the sheriff.

Federal authorities say Gregory Lynn Shrader, 55, of Jay, Okla., was served with a criminal complaint.  A U.S. Postal Inspector in Phoenix said Shrader is accused of sending a package to Arpaio from a mail box in Flagstaff last year.

The inspector said the appearance of the package was suspicious and when it was first opened they found what was thought to be an explosive device. But they later figured out that the device was not operable.  Last week, investigators got a warrant to search Shrader’s Oklahoma home and that’s when he was arrested.
