Senate Signs Off On $9.2 Million State Budget Plan

The Senate on Thursday evening signed off on a $9.2 billion budget for the fiscal year that starts on July 1. The House Appropriations Committee is scheduled to take up that chamber’s budget bills on Monday. The Senate plan gives Gov. Jan Brewer some of what she wants but not all.

Alan Maguire is president of the Maguire Company and has worked on a lot of state budgets. He likes the fact that there are some different ideas on a new spending plan.
