The Arizona Snowbowl is shutting down for the season. Spokesman Jason Stratton said next Sunday will be the final scheduled day. He said it is a season that has been prolonged by artificial snow.
“Boy are we glad to have it because it remained a(n) upper 30’s to low 40’s base of inches of snow, throughout the winter, and that’s just perfect for what we need for a consistent foundation throughout the whole winter," said Stratton.
Stratton said if you just looked at the foundation alone, Snowbowl may not even have opened this winter, had it not been for snow making.
