Charles Keating died at age 90 on March 31, 2014. He was a banker and developer who was responsible for the Phoenician Resort on Camelback Road.

Federal officials also determined he was responsible for losing hundreds of millions of dollars in investor and customer money when he made risky decisions regarding Lincoln savings in the 1980s. His name also became synonymous with a group of five senators who allegedly tried to intervene with regulators on his behalf. Two of those senators were Arizonans, John McCain and Dennis DeConcini.

Attorney Michael Manning, partner in the law firm of Stinson Leonard Street, talked about Keating.
