The state of Arizona has been revamping behavioral health services in Maricopa County. Now it will be turning its attention to other areas of the state.

Health Director Will Humble says the Department of Health Services will be working on integrating physical and mental health services in what he calls "Greater Arizona."

Humble said the integration of service providers will be much like what has been done in the Phoenix area, under its new contract.

In another change, Humble said the state plans to consolidate several of its six current service areas around the state, likely ending up with just three areas.

He saod one would be for northern Arizona, another will serve southern sections of the state and the third will be for Maricopa County.
