Still Using Windows XP? Time To Upgrade

With Microsoft ending its support of the Windows XP Operating System, computer experts say it’s in your best interests to switch over to Windows 7 or 8  instead.  Ken Colburn is CEO of Arizona-based ‘Data Doctors.’

“You’re basically going to a gunfight with a knife, if you’re using XP with today’s internet. It’s highly recommended that you do migrate off of that and get into one of the newer operating systems.”

Colburn notes that up to a third of the world still uses XP and says if you can’t make the switch you should get the latest update from Microsoft, switch from Internet Explorer to Chrome or Firefox, and get a solid anti-virus program.

He says instead of upgrading it might be time to buy a new computing device.

If you're not sure how to identifiy which Windows operating system you're using, here's how to check.
