Man Arrested For Making Fake IDs — For Businesses

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 35-year-old man they say has been making and trafficking in fake identification documents.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Gustavo Carranza-Villa was taken into custody at a Glendale apartment where deputies seized numerous items he was allegedly selling to businesses to help undocumented immigrants get jobs.

“U.S. government permanent resident alien ID cards, fake Social Security cards, these documents were all manufactured by the suspect," Arpaio said.

Arpaio said deputies seized a printer, card stock, printing ribbons and fraudulent IDs he says were ready for delivery, after obtaining a search warrant for the property.
