Arizona Gas Prices at Eight-Month High

Gas prices in Arizona are at an eight-month high. The statewide average stands at $3.51 a gallon, which is about two and a half cents higher than last week.

Prices were up across Arizona, but were up the most in Flagstaff, Prescott and the East Valley. AAA Arizona says even though prices in the state continue to climb, prices elsewhere around the country have started to slow down.

A spokeswoman says that could be an indicator that Arizona will soon follow suit, but that it’s too soon to tell if prices will peak before Memorial Day weekend.

Tucson drivers are paying the lowest gas prices in Arizona, while Flagstaff has the highest. Nationwide, Montana has the lowest prices and California the highest. Arizona’s average price is about 17 cents lower than the national one.
