Smoke Shop Ower Arrested For Selling Spice

A Peoria smoke shop owner has been busted by police for selling spice. Police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto says 37-year-old Mike Ghazawneh was arrested after detectives found vials of the synthetic drug he’d been selling to customers of his shop.

“During one of the search warrants there at the suspect’s home, they did locate more than 280 vials of spice,” Jacinto said.

Jacinto says the shop owner last year acknowledged a new state law banning spice and agreed he understood the law and how it would affect his business.
