Gas prices in Arizona are easing a bit ahead of the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Prices are down about a half-cent to a statewide average of $3.50 a gallon.
AAA Arizona spokeswoman Michelle Donati says prices will likely to continue to fall in the next few weeks because of a high stockpiles.
“Prices have finally started to stabilize and looking at cart market factors, they should continue to fall as we approach the unofficial kickoff of the summer travel season,” Donati said.
Flagstaff drivers continue to pay the highest average prices in the state, at $3.69, while drivers in Tucson pay the lowest prices, an average $3.34 a gallon.
