The lights are back on at Sky Harbor Airport’s Terminal Four. An hour-long power outage delayed dozens of Southwest Airlines flights.
It also shut down the D Security Checkpoint. Jet bridges didn’t work so passengers were forced to deplane the old-fashioned way: with stairs.
Airport Spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez says the power came back on around 11 a.m., but the travel problems aren’t over yet.
"Dozens of flights were delayed this morning and that will continue throughout the day. There will be a residual effect from this with connecting flights being delayed," Rodriguez said.
The power outage was caused by a faulty cable connection, an APS spokesman said.
Check your flight status before leaving for the airport.
