Six Hurt In School Bus Crash Near Aguila

Authorities say three children are hurt after a school bus collided with a passenger car on U.S. 60 near the small central Arizona town of Aguila.

State Department of Public Safety officials say five children under age 13 and a driver were aboard the Wickenburg School District bus when the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

A district official says none of the children's injuries appears to be life-threatening. One student is from Vulture Peak Middle School and the other two are from Hassayampa Elementary. Their names, ages and conditions haven't been released.

DPS officials say the driver of the car and two passengers were injured.

Two medical helicopters landed at the scene to airlift the injured to hospitals.

Aguila is about 60 miles northwest of Phoenix.
