Man Who Jumped From Cliff At Apache Lake Dies

A Star Valley man died Sunday after he jumped into the water from a 100-foot cliff at Apache Lake east of Phoenix.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says 50-year-old Kelson Blair jumped into water that was about 17 feet deep.

Blair didn't resurface after entering the water, so witnesses dived in, pulled him out and brought him to the shore.

He later died at a hospital.

Alcohol wasn't believed to be a factor in Blair's death.
