A quick-moving brush fire on the Tonto National Forest charred about 25 acres Tuesday along State Route 87.
Spokesman David Albo says an RV caught fire and the flames spread to vegetation in the Mesquite Wash.
“Fuel moistures you know are really very, very low, even in the live fuels. You know all it takes is one spark and you can have something off and running," Albo said.
Albo says fire danger is extremely high right now. But he says firefighters were able to get a quick start and keep this blaze contained.
