A Chandler man has been arrested after shooting his son during an argument at their home.
Authorities say the 56-year-old man surrendered without incident after officers responded to a 911 call from the victim Saturday.
Police, who have not released the identities of father or son, say the 20-year-old victim had a gunshot wound that wasn't life-threatening.
Det. Seth Tyler says both men were arguing around 9:30 a.m. and then the altercation became physical. Tyler says that's when the father fired a weapon.
The son was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
Police are treating the matter as a domestic violence incident.
Tyler says the father could face an aggravated assault charge.
