On Jan. 8, 2011, a "Congress On Your Corner" event in Tucson turned tragic when six people were shot and killed. Thirteen others, including then-U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, were injured.
In the days immediately following the shootings, the trauma team at Tucson's University Medical Center became familiar faces. One of those doctors was Peter Rhee, the chief of trauma, critical care, burn and emergency surgery.
We spoke with Rhee about that day and his new book, "Trauma Red."
