The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for Northern Arizona today, including Flagstaff and parts of Coconino and Navajo County.
The warning means people should be extra careful, because weather conditions are ripe for a fire to spread. National Weather Service Meteorologist Benjamin Peterson said this classification comes when there are sustained winds more than 20 mph or wind gusts exceeeding 30 mph for more than three hours and relative humidity is below 15 percent.
There have been more than a dozen red flag warnings already in June.
