It started as college football’s Copper Bowl in 1989, then became the Insight Bowl, and most recently was the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Now it will be known as the Cactus Bowl.
On Thursday, The Valley of the Sun Bowl Foundation, the host organization, announced the new name of the annual post-season game played in Tempe.
The Cactus Bowl will be played on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.
