Phoenix Scientists Help In Testing 2 Alzheimer's Drugs

Scientists in Phoenix will join some Swiss counterparts in a pair of research trials testing two new drugs that aim to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease.

Doctor Eric Reiman, Executive Director of the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, says researchers have already been working on a trial for people who, based on age and genetic makeup, are at almost certain risk for developing symptoms at a young age.

Reiman says the new work will be extended to patients at risk for developing Alzheimer’s when they’re older.
