The 2014 Gubernatorial Primary Forum

Tuesday night, KJZZ hosted five of the Republican candidates in the race to be Arizona's next governor. The candidates answered questions related to K-12 education funding, job creation and border security. Topics also included the future of water in Arizona and how closely the next governor should watch the new Department of Public Safety.

The Republican Gubernatorial Primary Forum was co-hosted by Steve Goldstein and Mark Brodie and moderated by Sarah Ventre. The forum took place at the Arizona Historical Society in Tempe.

Featured candidates included:

Secretary of State – Ken Bennett

State Treasurer – Doug Ducey

Former Business Executive – Christine Jones

Former California Congressman – Frank Riggs

Former Mesa Mayor – Scott Smith

The other Republican candidate who was invited is Former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas.
