With early voting underway, candidates are looking for every vote they can get. And a group that studies turnout among young voters says 18-29 year olds could play a significant role in two Arizona Congressional districts.
Peter Levine is the Director of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University in Boston. He says younger voters could play a big role in the 9th District in Tempe, Central Phoenix and West Mesa, and the 1st District in Northern and Eastern Arizona.
In the 1st District, Gary Kiehne, Adam Kwasman and Andy Tobin are running for the GOP nomination - the winner will take on the incumbent Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick.
In the 9th District, Wendy Rogers and Andrew Walter are running for the Republican nomination, with the winner facing incumbent Democrat Kyrsten Sinema.
