The Scottsdale-based restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s is giving more information about a security breach first noticed in June.

Credit card information was stolen from 33 restaurants, including locations in Scottsdale and Peoria. The potentially stolen data includes the card number and may also include the cardholder's name and/or the card's expiration date in some instances.

Representatives for the restaurant said it's continuously working to understand the nature and scope of the incident. They said security compromise has been contained and it has been processing credit and debit card data securely since June 11.

Data breaches have occurred at other major U.S. corporations recently, including Target Corp., Neiman Marcus, Sally Beauty Holdings Inc. and Michaels Stores Inc.
