Stolen Bell Returned To Kingman Church

A brass bell that was stolen from a Kingman church has been returned by a man who wished to remain anonymous.

The 120-pound bell was returned to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church Wednesday. It was taken while the historic church was undergoing renovations last March.

The Kingman Daily Miner reported that the bell, which looked as though it had been buried, was brought to the church by an unidentified man. Saint Mary’s pastor, Father Matthew Krempel said he doesn’t know yet if the bell will be returned to the tower or if they’ll find another place on church property for it.
