Midweek Rain A Possibility

The Valley could be in for another round of thunderstorms this week. Mark O’Malley of the National Weather Service says the best chance of storms is Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Much like the monsoon it’s gonna be hit and miss. Someone’s going to get rain, a lot of people won’t get rain. You’ll just get some wind and some blowing dust," O'Malley said.

Temperatures are expected to be below average this week, for the most part.  The average high is 105.

The cooling trend won’t be evident in the Valley on Monday, with our projected high of 107, but O’Malley says temperatures will dip in northern Arizona, where the highs should be in the low 80’s, and in Tucson, where highs will be in the mid-to-upper 90’s.
