The Valley is a unique place, growing and welcoming new people from across the country and around the world. How does a place like this define what community is? And how do our smaller communities of faith or arts or passions fit into the larger picture of this area?
Over the next few months, we’ll be exploring those themes in a series called We Are The Valley. We kicked it off with two conversations. One was with Patricia Gober, Arizona State University research professor and author of "Metropolitan Phoenix: Place Making And Community Building In The Desert."
The other was with Cindy Dach, co-owner of Changing Hands bookstore and one of the founders of Local First Arizona.
