Effects Of Sun On Valley Residents

This place isn’t called the Valley of the Sun for nothing. On average, there are more than 200 days of sunshine every year and, especially this time of year, that sun is particularly strong and hot.

For a lot of people, that means some sweat and scurrying from one air conditioned place to another. But for some, the problems are much worse. Here to talk about that is Director of Therapy Services at St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Center Chip Coffey.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
