Tempe Police's Safe And Sober Campaign Wraps Up Its First Weekend

Tempe police and other agencies arrested nearly 400 people on the first weekend of the Safe and Sober campaign.

Officers focused on underage drinking and other alcohol-related crimes, increased patrols, DUI enforcement and liquor-law inspections for bars and liquor stores.

146 people were charged with driving under the influence and 112 underage drinkers were arrested. More than a hundred others were arrested for other violations.

The campaign will continue through Sept. 6.
